Anytime! Would be happy to share whatever I can that would be helpful :) Sound healing actually wound up inspiring a big part of my debut novel (which I can't reveal details of yet, cos it would give away part of the plot haha... but it was my sound healing studies that inspired a chunk of it!)
Oh amazing! I'm very intrigued. I did a story about sound healing recently and one of the guys I interviewed about it made me want to drop everything and become a sound healer! Then I found it hard to know where to start! Would still love to get into it x
That's awesome! Well, my post on it is scheduled for tomorrow so I hope that helps hehe. And definitely happy to chat to you about it sometime, whether over coffee when you're in Dubai, or digitally if that's easier haha! It is amazing, and very rewarding in many ways - but it can also be quite challenging. Not everyone cares about this part as much, but I think it's really important to do your own inner work consistently if you do work like this, so you don't bring that energy into the room with clients... and you have to be ready to hold space for people, since it can stir up difficult emotions - I've had clients cry in class and want to stay back to chat with me about their struggles. And then you have to find a balance between doing that, and caring for them - but also maintaining a healthy boundary, to gently remind some of them that you can't be their substitute therapist. Then some people will blame you for things out of your control - like if a loud car drives past the room, or if someone else in the class snores, for instance - even if you suggest they take a private class instead if they're sensitive to these things. Good equipment is not cheap, either. And it can be quite tough on your lower back! But it is incredible, and well worth it. x
How funny - good timing then! I'll keep my eyes peeled for your post! I guess right now I want to dip my toe in and see how it works for me, but I also thought it could be a great thing to learn and pass on to my kids. I got one tuning fork and they already love that. Mesmerised the minute I hit it!
I'm usually in Dubai so would love to meet for coffee and catch up x
It was so strange! The more I started reading about "sleep hygiene" rituals, the more I realised I had to start new ones. Thankfully now the eye thing isn't a factor. Being sucked into a scroll hole on Reddit, however... different story hahaha
Also, would love to pick your brain on sound healing! I want to learn more myself
I am actually planning a post on sound healing soon too - but happy to chat about it whenever you like! x

Love this! Also so fascinating you couldn't sleep after your eye surgery! Hope you can now at least 😅
